Bogota, Pereira and Cartagena

On your first day, we will pick you up at the airport to take you to the hotel of your choice. You will be able to relax during the ride, which lasts approximately 30 to 60 minutes while observing the distinctive landscape of Bogota. Remember that your accommodation is included in this tour, so you don't have to worry about paying for anything when you arrive.

The rates are contemplated for daytime transfers. In the case of nighttime transfers a supplement applies. For departure transfers, the night schedule applies for flights between 23:00 and 9:00 hours, and for arrival transfers it applies for flights between 21:00 and 6:30 hours. 

We will pick you up at your hotel to take you to the famous Plaza de Bolivar, the heart of the city where you can find the most important political and religious buildings of the country, such as the Cathedral, the Palace of Lievano (seat of the mayor of the city), the Palace of Justice and the National Capitol with the Palace of Nariño, headquarters of the congress and where the Colombian president lives permanently.You will also visit the Museo del Oro (Gold Museum), which exhibits the world's largest collection of pre-Hispanic gold pieces, and the Casa Museo Quinta de Bolivar, a museum of great cultural value and a significant place in the history of Colombia and its neighboring countries. At the end of the day, you will climb to an altitude of 3152 meters to the top of the Cerro de Monserrate, which is considered a mandatory stop for all visitors to Bogota, for its great ecological, religious, and gastronomic importance. After the tour, we will take you back to your hotel, or you can stay downtown to continue exploring the city.

Note: 

• Gold museum and Quinta de Bolivar are closed on Mondays, instead we visit Museo de Botero and Museo Casa de la Moneda. 

• The Casa de la Moneda Museum is closed on Tuesdays.

• On Sunday, this tour operates subject to availability and upon request.

We will take you from your hotel to a place only 45 kilometers (28 miles) north of Bogota, where you are going to visit the monument that is considered the first wonder of Colombia. It is the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquira, built inside a subterranean salt mine and cataloged as one of the most remarkable engineering works of Colombian architecture. Inside you will find a rich artistic and religious collection, especially salt and marble sculptures. You can tour with a guide who explains the history of the mine, the methods of salt extraction, and everything related to the cathedral construction. The colorful lights, religious altars, and spectacular monuments contrast with a separate section that includes souvenir stores, photo booths, emerald stores, and even a 3D projection room that tells the history of the mine every 30 minutes.

Breakfast. At the indicated time, transfer to the El Dorado airport in Bogotá to take a flight to the City of Pereira (Air ticket not including). Arrival at Matecaña de Pereira airport, reception and transfer to the chosen hotel in the Eje Cafetero. Check-in andaccommodation.

The day begins with a delicious breakfast. Then we will pick you up at your hotel to start the tour of La Finca del Cafe, a traditional coffee farmhouse with majestic views. Due to its good weather and fertile grounds, the coffee you find here is one of the best in the world.In addition to a stunning landscape, the Finca del Cafe allows you to learn step-by-step the process of coffee bean production. Walking through the plantations, you can see the coffee trees and participate in the manual harvesting of the coffee fruits. You can also learn how the selection and removal process works to prepare the beans for roasting and the best way to roast the coffee beans.  During this exciting tour, you can also enjoy an astonishing panoramic view on top of constructions made of guadua (a type of bamboo typical of this region. These structures are eco-sustainable). At the end of the tour, you can taste different coffee-based products such as beverages, desserts, and cakes. After finishing the trip, we will take you back to your hotel.

Breakfast. Assistance and transfer in private service to Cocora Valley enjoying the beautiful landscape. First, we will have a welcome cocktail “Canelazo” and with the assistance of a specialist eco-guide we will be ready to start the introduction to the natural reserve of Cocora. Then, we will go to the fog ́s forest, a place to admire the biodiversity of fauna and flora. There, we will find the highest wax palm in the world, and we will connect with the earth by doing a special ritual planting some palms. Then, we will go to the typical village of Salento where we will have a walking tour visiting its colonial streets, craft workshops and the principal viewpoint. Typical Lunch and transfer to return to the hotel or you ́ll can connect with other additional touristic activity of the region.

Notes: Due to the high influx of local and foreign visitors on Sundays and public holidays, we recommend booking this tour on different days for a better experience. This also applies to Easter Week, the end, and the beginning of the year.

Breakfast. At the indicated time, transfer to the Pereira airport for take a flight to the City of Cartagena (air ticket not included). Arrival to Cartagena city also known as el corralito of stone, reception and transfer from the Rafael Núñez de Cartagena to the chosen hotel. Check-in and accommodation.

After breakfast, we will pick you up at your hotel. We will start our tour in the Bocagrande neighborhood to appreciate the modern side of the city, where buildings and skyscrapers rise along the seashore. This is an important commercial and tourist area with a great selection of hotels, luxury boutiques, and high-end restaurants. It also has beautiful beaches that invite you to enjoy the sand and the sea. Then, we will arrive at the Manga neighborhood, a contrast between splendid mansions dating from the colony age and impressive modern buildings. You will admire the Fort of San Sebastian del Pastelillo, the Port of Cartagena, and the Tourist Pier. We will continue with one of the city´s jewels: Castillo de San Felipe, a fortress built by Spanish explorers to defend themselves against pirates and English invaders in the seventeenth century. From the top of San Lázaro hill, this magnificent construction holds endless stories you can learn about through its walls and tunnels. Then, we will arrive at the historic downtown, home to cobblestone streets, superbly preserved colonial houses, picturesque balconies, and traditional patios. You will enjoy a walk through Plaza Santo Domingo, Torre del Reloj (Clock Tower), and the enchanting Getsemani neighborhood. Our last stop will be the Emerald Museum. After finishing the tour, we will take you back to your hotel, or you can stay downtown to continue exploring the city.

Breakfast. Leaving La Bodeguita Pier by speedboat to the chosen island, there you can enjoy the coral beaches and a variety of reef fauna, ideal for resting or taking some optional activities such as diving, snorkeling, hiking, among others. Below you can find the details of the island:

Isla del Encanto: In the Islas del Rosario national park, located approximately 45 minutes by boat from Cartagena, you can enjoy the beach and social spaces designated for Day Tour visitors that have chairs, lounge chairs, and sun loungers; also, you can do optional activities if you want or just enjoy the Colombian Caribbean Sea in this area. During the day you will enjoy a typical semi buffet lunch served with options of fish, chicken, and meat.

Includes: Shared boat transfer Cartagena- Isla del Encanto –Cartagena (non-exclusive), lunch Parrillada Buffet (including a non-alcoholic drink.)

Not include Transfer hotel - pier - hotel (If you are staying in hotels in the Bocagrande area, Historical Center or Nort Area, the hotel offers you a complimentary transfer to the pier, the return to the pier - hotel it’s on your own. It’s not included pier tax (Approx. 7.00), optional activities, consumption not mentioned, towel service (it is suggested to bring from Cartagena).

Notes: Passengers must appear at the La Bodeguita pier no later than 08:15 a.m., the usual return from the Island to Cartagena is at 15:00 p.m. (depending on weather conditions, the departure may vary at approximately 14:30 p.m.).

Restrictions: Excursion not allowed for pregnant women or people with spinal problems or surgeries because to the movements of the boat. Pets and people in a state of intoxication are not allowed access to the boats.
