DAY 2 Coffee Region "Cócora Valley and Salento with horseback riding"
Breakfast. At the agreed-upon time, transfer to the Cocora Valley. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a traditional drink (canelazo). There, an eco-guide will tell you about the area. Then, you will begin a horseback ride for approximately one (1) hour to the Palm Forest. With the assistance of a local specialized guide, you will arrive at the Palm Forest, where you will see the tallest wax palm in the world and the national symbol. You will then perform the Quindío wax palm ritual, which consists of learning the history of how the aboriginal people worshipped this palm tree. This ritual then continues with the planting of palm seedlings. Transfer to the typical Salento village where we will have a walking tour visiting its colonial streets, artisan workshops, and the Cocora Viewpoint. Traditional lunch and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.

During this tour, you will learn about the fundamentals of coffee and specialty coffees, highlighting those that play a special role in the novel Café con Aroma Mujer (remake). You will explore the most iconic locations on our Hacienda, which served as the setting for several memorable scenes in the novel. These include visits to the coffee plantations and the historic Hacienda Casa Blanca, among other important sites.

DAY 5 Coffee Region / Salamina "Colombia's Heritage Town"
Breakfast. At the agreed-upon time, meet with one of our representatives to begin a land tour of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes to Salamina, a town located in the northern part of the department of Caldas. During the tour, you will observe and enjoy the charming coffee-growing landscape, and there will also be short stops for photographs in the towns of Neira and Aránzazu. Upon arrival in Salamina, we will have a typical à la carte lunch, then take a walking tour of the town accompanied by a guide specialized in the destination. During the tour, we will visit the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, the San Esteban Cemetery, and some heritage mansions from the late 19th century. We will also visit the beautiful picturesque streets of the Antioquia colonization. We will also make a gastronomic stop at a traditional Salamina café, where you will enjoy a gastronomic experience tasting macana and steamed eggs. At the end, we will return to Hacienda Venecia.
