Yopal Colombia

Yopal is a Colombian municipality, capital of the Casanare department. Its extension is 2595km² and it's located 335km away from the Bogotá district. Settled by the colonists en 1915 is one of the youngest capitals of department in Colombia and one of the cities with biggest population growth in the country, especially after the separation of Casanare from Boyacá since Constitution of 1991 and thanks to the oil exploitation.
